Ježevac Premium Camping Resort by Valamar (CRO) 03.07.25-07.07.25
Krk is a Croatian town located on the island of Krk and can be considered the capital of the island of Krk, so to speak. The old town is full of history and is characterized by old-fashioned narrow streets and old stone buildings that exude a sense of history. Anyone who is interested in history will definitely have a lot to explore and do in this city. The streets of the old town also have many different shops where you can buy souvenirs or local crafts, as well as restaurants that offer a rich selection of different food cultures.
We chose the Jezevac campsite as our next stop, which is located right in the middle of the town of Krk, on the seashore. The Valamar brand brings together many different campsites located in various Croatian towns and also outside the cities.

Walking from the caravan park towards the town, there is a relatively large swimming beach with a sunbathing area. Croatian swimming spots and beaches are usually very rocky, but this cannot be said about the Jezevac beach. The shore of the beach is covered with fine, sand-like pebbles and there are no large stones in the water. In order to sunbathe or swim, you definitely do not have to go to this beach, but you can also use the swimming areas and beach areas located on the territory of the caravan park, where you can also rent beach chairs and parasols for an additional fee.

In terms of price, this caravan park was more expensive than in Venecia and the day of accommodation cost close to 70 euros. The price included parking on the territory, electricity connection, the possibility of refueling with water and also the possibility of disposing of waste water. In addition, there are toilets, shower rooms and places for washing dishes in various places in the territory of the caravan park. The parking spaces for the caravans are all lined with trees and bushes and when you park there, you create a relatively private territory, because the trees and bushes ensure the isolation of the territory. There is also a grocery store on the territory with a relatively good selection, but I recommend going to the shops in the city, because the prices are much cheaper there.

We got a parking space in the corner of the caravan park on the city side and everything was within walking distance, so to speak. The city is not bike-friendly, there are no bike paths and it is essentially impossible to ride on the promenade, because almost at any time, the promenade is packed with people. At one time it was worse there than in the previous places we had been to on this trip. Anyone can go in and out of the park territory and this created a situation where there were constant queues in the toilets on the city side during the day. There are many different restaurants by the beach in the caravan park, but we did not eat there and preferred the catering establishments in the city. The Frankopan restaurant next to the church in the old town deserves special attention, where we usually eat lobster when visiting the city of Krk. I highly recommend this place because in my opinion they prepare the best lobster in Croatia. Other dishes there are quite ordinary but very tasty.

We will definitely visit the town of Krk again, but we will probably choose another caravan park in the town or near the town due to our interest. This campsite did not leave such a good impression that we would definitely want to go back there.
