Favorite of the season Positive Trips In Italy Very good

Village Camping Marina di Venezia (ITA) 26.06.25-03.07.2025

Next we decided to stay in the Venice area and decided to choose between two caravan parks. 1. San Giuliano Venice, which is located right next to the city of Venice. 2. Village Camping Marina di Venezia, which is located on a peninsula bordering the Adriatic Sea east of the city of Venice. After some consideration, we decided on Marina di Venezia, because the main purpose of our vacation was still a sun and beach holiday.

The campsite has different prices for caravan parking, and we ended up there at a time when the accommodation price consisted of a parking price of 28.7 euros per day, which included unlimited electricity use, unlimited car refueling with water and unlimited wastewater disposal during your stay in the park. In addition, there was a daily fee of 11.5 euros per person traveling with the caravan.

This fee included the use of the toilet and shower facilities, unlimited access to the pool area (sun loungers and attractions for an additional fee), and evening cultural events. So a total of 51.7 euros per day and 361.9 euros per week (payment and check-out are made at the cash register on the promenade at the end of the accommodation period).

The administrator asked about our parking space preferences (whether we wanted to park closer to the sea or the pools, whether we preferred a parking space open to the sun or shaded by trees), and asked if we had animals with us (there is a specific parking zone for travelers with animals).

We wanted under the trees and closer to the sea, and after receiving all the necessary information, he asked us to wait and went to the reception desk to take care of our business.

About 10 minutes passed when the admin returned, attached wristbands to our hands, handed us brochures about the caravan park, and announced that now we would have to wait a bit, because they were currently working on finding a parking space that met our wishes on the site, and when we saw that the reception desk was waving to us, we would have to start driving after the parking space indicator.

About 10 more minutes passed and we were able to start driving towards the parking space allocated to us. The parking indicator drove ahead and soon we reached our spot.

The parking space was 10×10 meters and the car fit in there easily. In addition, the awning could be opened and there was still plenty of space left.

The parking space was equipped with an electrical outlet and a water tap, from which you could fill the car’s water tank right on the spot.

There was no sewage connection at our parking space, but it cannot be ruled out that some parking spaces may have one, and in that case you do not have to drive to a special emptying point to empty the sewage tank during your stop.

The caravan park is very large, divided into sectors with proper asphalt roads, which in turn are crossed by gravel roads between the parking rows. All roads and streets are properly lit at night. There were probably around 500 caravan parking spaces and there were very few empty spaces. A large part of the parkers were Germans, but we also noticed Austrians, Poles, French, Ukrainians and even Spaniards.

There are several toilets and showers on the territory and there was never a situation where you had to wait in line if you wanted to use them. On the outside of these buildings there were also sinks for washing dishes and on the other side of the building there were separate sinks for washing clothes by hand. All of these rooms were under constant supervision of cleaners and were spotlessly clean. For 5 euros you could also use a washing machine to wash your own clothes. At the ends of the same room there were also places to dispose of the contents of the chemical toilet.

Our parking space was about 200 meters from the beach area and fully met our desire to spend most of our time on the seashore.

The promenade, where there were also restaurants, various shops and an entertainment area, was about 600 meters away, where we could easily ride our bicycles. The territory has a decent grocery store, a fruit/vegetable store and many other shops selling various goods.

Our particular favorite was the caravan store, which had many necessary and less necessary items for caravanning. Later, we discovered that an even more complete and extremely large selection of caravan stores was located 8 km away and we visited it as well when we left.

In the evenings, there were musical events with various performers on the large stage near the restaurants. The pool area was quite large, but due to the large number of visitors to the park, we thought it was too crowded and we went more to the beach, where such overcrowding was impossible, because the beach area was really large.

On the beach, you could choose whether to go to the paid area and buy a sunbed with shade (two chairs and a parasol 18 EUR) or go to the free area and use the sunbeds/parasols you brought with you or lie on a sunbed. At every certain distance on the beach, there were complexes with toilet/shower rooms, bars and sports fields (volleyball, basketball, football).

A boardwalk led almost to the sea from the caravan park territory, and it was very comfortable to walk along it. There were also drink sellers and caterers on the beach, who drove along the coastline with unique electric carts.

A ship resembling a medieval ship also departed from the small harbor located on the beach, which took interested parties on excursions for a fee, which headed north along the coast, and in my opinion this ship did not sail to the port of the city of Venice.

In fact, you can come here to rest even if you travel in another way, because you can also rent camping sites and there is also the possibility of staying in camping houses.

The territory of the caravan park was under proper surveillance and you could not move there without a wristband, because the security guards intervened immediately and if there was any suspicion that a person moving around the territory was not a guest, they were sent out of the park.

You can also buy ferry tickets to Venice from the tourist information point next to the cash desk on the promenade, and for those interested in sightseeing, it is easy to organize yourself to Venice and back in the caravan park.

Outside the camping area, right behind the main gate, there is a large grocery store where you can buy food and other necessities at much cheaper prices than inside the territory. Outside the territory, a few hundred meters away, there is also a decent fruit/vegetable/wine shop (watch for the ads when you drive to the caravan park).

About 5 km from the park is the town of Ca’ Savio, where there is a much larger selection of restaurants, grocery stores and other shops and a decent bike path leads there.

This entire park left a great impression and experience and we will definitely go back there….probably next year.
