Kurzeme is a well-known and well-known summer resort in Latvia. You can hardly find a beach here that is not covered with white sand. Since we had already spent five days in the Palanga area, we decided to move 70 km north to create some variety in our vacation. The plan was to stop at a wake park near Liepaja, but we didn’t like it there and drove on.

We found a camping park called Rugumi on the map and headed there. It was about 15 km to go from this wake park and we wondered what it was. It was a big mistake, because after about a couple of kilometers the asphalt ended and a gravel road began. I don’t remember the gravel road being so steep, because for the sake of the health of the car and trailer, I thought it would be better to drive at an average speed of 20 km/h. We covered that 15 km distance in almost an hour 😀 When we arrived, we were shown a parking space and it cost 21 euros per day. The price includes electricity, a toilet, and the possibility of washing dishes with yellow water from the tap.

I didn’t dare to fill up the water in the cottage just in case. The shower here is for a fee – 1 EUR for one wash. It seems that the owners here are German, because in my opinion this character spoke only German properly.
